love the simplicity of this piece. I formed the
pendant into a hollow domed sphere approximately 11/16 inches in
diameter with a lightly etched front and mirror-finished back.
The very slender 16-inch neck wire is bronze-colored stainless steel cable (49 strands) and measures less than 1/2 mm in diameter. The result is a very delicate and sophisticated design that looks great with almost any attire. Each piece is created individually and will appear differently than the photo here. diameter. In this case, the pattern is just a little lighter than the
one above, but that's the beauty of working with Mokume-gane. The
unique pattern ensures that you won't find another one like it anywhere.

I fabricated
this 3-piece suite (pendant, earrings) from
a different version of Mokume-gane
from those above. In this case, the
metal has been formed from 19 layers of 18k rose gold and Shakudo (a
mixture of 22k gold and copper). The combination is, as you can
see, a rich, warm and slightly reddish tone with a random darker
pattern. The front side of each piece is bead blasted to a satin
finish and the back is solid 14k gold polished to a mirror finish.
I've added 14k gold ear wires on the earrings. The slender 16-inch
neck wire on the pendant is 24k plated stainless steel, finished with a
14k gold lobster catch.
