| The rings on this page are the first of what I hope will be an ongoing series of jewelry pieces for men. As in most of my designs, I take a minimalist approach, letting the featured stone or metal speak for itself without having to compete for visual attention. I've personally worn each of these designs before I produced the series. I wanted to make certain that each ring would be comfortable to wear and would look appropriate in a variety of environments. Turquoise
is still my all-time favorite stone, both to work with (cutting,
shaping, polishing) and to wear. I fabricated this ring using a
beautiful piece of Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and then mounted it on a
hand engraved and carved silver band. The bezel is 14k gold.
The overall effect is a strong masculine look with a western flair but without being pretentious or "showy."
The gold works very well with the Turquoise and contrasts nicely with
the hand engraved shank. Each one of these rings is
one-of-a-kind, owing to the hand fabrication and engraving. Made

This ring uses Mokume gane as the
main visual element. Because of the warm reddish tone in the Mokume, I
decided to use a thick bezel of polished 18k rose gold. The look is
masculine, elegant and very unique, suitable for the board room or Sunday
brunch. I made this one in size 11, but I'd be happy to fabricate one

This is a hand
engraved Men's Opal Ring. The combination of this special stone and the
hand engraved 14k white gold shank makes this ring a real stand-out.
The shank is heavy white gold and tapers from 10mm wide at the top to
6mm at the bottom for a very comfortable fit. It's flat on the top
and rounded around the rest of the shank. I did the hand
engraving in a florid ornament style with plenty of detail, then carved
and textured the background to make the engraving really stand out. The
bezel is 14k yellow gold for a nice contrast. The stone is an 11mm
diameter opal doublet with a buff top (flat vs rounded) and the photo
simply doesn't do it justice - extraordinary fire and color, primarily
green and blue, with flashes of red (click on the ring photo to see a more
detailed shot). This is an heirloom quality piece, one your heirs will fight over! Because I make each of these rings to order, please allow 4-5 weeks for delivery.
